Ari and Rachel Te Tau founded My Vehicle Maintenance with a vision to create a workshop that combines technical expertise with genuine customer care. After many years working in the automotive trade, Ari saw that drivers wanted more than just quick repairs; they wanted mechanics they could trust, who explained things clearly and treated vehicles like their own.
Together, Ari and Rachel built a business grounded in family values, integrity, and a community focus. Over the years, they have grown a loyal customer base throughout Masterton by delivering consistent results and building strong relationships with every driver who walks through the door.

Ari Te Tau
Owner/Lead Mechanic
Ari has over 13 years of experience in the automotive industry. He is a fully qualified mechanic, WOF-certified inspector, and specialist in wheel alignments, tyre fitting, balancing, and diagnostics. Ari has worked on a wide range of vehicles, including modern European, Japanese, and 4WD models. His approach is hands-on, detail-focused,d and always customer-centred. Ari personally oversees every job, ensuring the workshop maintains high standards of workmanship and safety.
Rachel Te Tau
Owner/Office Manager
Rachel runs the business side of My Vehicle Maintenance. With a background in nursing, she brings compassion, attention to detail and strong organisational skills into the daily operations. She manages bookings, customer service, accounts and marketing, ensuring every customer is welcomed warmly and kept informed at every stage. Rachel’s friendly and approachable style helps make vehicle servicing a stress-free experience for clients.
